Letter to Parents

Dear Parents/guardians,

None of us expected to be in this position before Christmas and yet here we are and it is important for us all to make the best of the situation. We know for certain that we will not be back in school before February half term and it is clear that we must all follow the lockdown rules to help bring this pandemic down before the vaccine is rolled out to us all.

Staff at school have been working really hard to get work to every pupil via Class Dojo and we are going to make sure that there are regular work updates as well as the opportunity for you all to ask questions about the work form your class teacher. However, we must realise that this is not a direct replacement for teaching, and we know that you are doing amazing things at home to help your child. Please use the resources we send but also look out for extra activities available on the internet, also remember that school is not just about written work. Use the skills you have to teach your child new skills such as cooking, cleaning or just enjoying time together making things or going for a walk. There are no rules to how we tackle home learning together and it is important that you get into a routine with your children and do what works best for you all.

Stay safe everyone and we will see you all soon.

All at Frederick Bird Primary
