This has been the strangest start to a term I have ever known and I really must thank you all for helping it run so smoothly. It has been fantastic to see the children so keen to come to school with a smile and ready to get back to all that school has to offer.
The one way system around school is working well and the start and finish of the day is far calmer than it was before lockdown. We are changing the timings slightly to make it easier for families with children in different year groups, from Monday it will look like this;
Morning – gates open at 8.30am and close at 8.50am. You can get your children into school at any time during these times.
Afternoon – gates open at 3.00pm and close at 3.15pm. You can pick up your children at any time between these times.
It is essential that you keep to these times and are not late either in the morning or the afternoon.
Can I also please ask you to continue to move through the school as quickly as possible and to be aware of hygiene around the school. Please do not spit on the floor or cough without covering your mouth.
We are asking children, where possible to avoid bringing items to and from home. From Monday we are asking children to bring a water bottle and leave it in school for the week. PE kit will come into school and stay here for a half term, similarly If they would like to bring a pencil case this is fine but again it will need to stay in school.
The Local Authority have asked for all parents to wear face coverings when on school premises, please could you help with this and ensure from Monday your face is covered.
Once again thanks for all your support, we welcome feedback so please feel free to talk to myself or any member of staff when outside, particularly if you have suggestions as to how we can improve our practice.
