Year 5 Greek Day

On Thursday 13th June, year 5 had a wonderful day, that was named ‘Greek Day.’ We all made a wreath the day before, so everyone took part in the educational day, people even dressed as Greeks, who lived during 800BC-500BC. There were a variety of activities including a quiz, which gave everyone an amazing experience to learn more about history. Also, we learnt about how the ancient Greeks handled democracy and what their rules were (thank goodness we did not live back then!) To keep us going, we solved a few puzzles and played ancient games (including holding a mini Olympics.) We all had lots of fun and we were really grateful that we got the opportunity to have a visitor, who was kind enough to come and teach us about Ancient Greece.
