Changes in Reception Outdoor Environment

As part of their learning in Understanding of the World the children in Reception have been noticing and talking about the changes in their immediate environment. They were particularly excited about the new grass.

The children watched and waited while the workers installed the new grass.

The children enjoyed the feel of the new grass and the freedom it gave them to roll, crawl, run, jump and sit on a different textured surface.

Sana and her friends are helping to look after our new environment by sweeping up some of the seeds that have fallen from the tree. They are pretending to be the duck from the story ‘Farmer Duck’
